Kidney Profile

What is the Kidney Profile?

This test is a diagnostic tool used to assess the health and functionality of the kidneys. It measures markers in the blood that indicate how well the kidneys are filtering waste products and balancing fluids in the body. It is often used to screen for and monitor conditions such as chronic kidney disease, kidney infections and kidney damage caused by other health issues.

How is the blood collected?

  1. The healthcare professional will take down your details and confirm your blood test of choice.
  2. Using our finger-prick lancets, you will be told to prick the corner of your finger allowing your blood to drop easily into the tube.
  3. Once you have filled the required tubes, the healthcare professional will provide you with a plaster.
  4. Your sample will be processed and you will receive your results online or through your chosen clinic within 48 hours.
